10th Annual Pip Start - Praise In The Park

Impacting youth by bringing a message of God's love and joy through effective strategic service and artistic expression that inspires, encourages and empowers the community

Who:
Sponsors: Pip Start - Praise in the Park, H-E-B, Reddy Ice and Capital 4-H along with various Austin churches, ministries, businesses and non-profits.
Audience: Youth, Families and the Austin Community.

What:
"Praise in the Park" (PIP Ministries) is a youth movement accompanied by the PIP event promoting Christian fellowship among youth and the community. "Praise in the Park" is designed for children, teens, college students and their families. The event brings together youth and adults to encourage and support cross-denominational collaboration within the Austin and surrounding communities. A variety of churches and community organizations host this event for young people and their families. This event showcases singing, dancing, acting and other forms of artistic expression. The events often include booths from local non-profits to businesses as well as Christian organizations and churches. In addition, activities such as college preparation sessions, health screenings, swimming, golf, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, or community parades are available depending on communities needs.

Background:
Praise in the Park" (PIP) originated in Austin, Texas in 1998. This will be the 10th annual Praise in the Park and will be sponsored by PIP Ministries. PIP Ministries is a branch of Pip Start, a 501c(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization.

Vision:
To positivity affect each community. This is done before by sending outreach teams before the event to 1) show God's love 2) invite to Praise in the Park and 3) serve natural and spiritual needs trough partnering non-profits and organizations. And after the event we 1) serve the community's needs 2) find 'home' churches for those who desire and 3) leave training options for youth and family programs.

Meetings (open to the public):

7:00pm - 8:30pm, 2nd Thursdays of the month in Austin Texas
Beginning January - April

Friday evenings and Saturdays mornings

PIP IMPACT
Some Pan Am Events include:
Kite Workshop, Easter Egg Hunt, and PIP FIRE Halloween Alternative Event

University of Texas Students also come together to mentor and tutor local students at the Pan Am Recreation Center throughout the school year.
